Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri remain guiding lights for the nation even today. He said that Mahatma Gandhi taught us the strength of truth, non-violence, and simplicity, while Shastriji epitomized humility, integrity, and patriotism.

He said that Shastri ji’s slogan ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan’ continues to inspire every Indian and reminds us of the nation’s strength in its farmers and soldiers. He further said that the BJP is committed to uphold and carry forward their legacy under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He added that the BJP in J&K is dedicated to spreading their vision among the younger generation. He said that Modi government is actively pursuing the vision of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri towards the basic improvement in education, Swacchta (cleanliness), and Swadeshi (Vocal for Local) and called for the use of Khadi products.

Dr. Narinder Singh, speaking on the occasion, said that both Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri personified honesty and selfless service. Their lives are lessons in leadership and dedication. Remembering them is an occasion to rededicate ourselves to building a strong, self-reliant India, he said.

Yudhvir Sethi prompted the party cadre to pledge to continue serving society in line with the principles and values of these two great sons of Bharat Mata.

Vikram Randhawa stressed that the philosophy of Gandhi ji and Shastri ji was not only instrumental in India’s independence struggle but continues to shape India’s moral fabric.
