Drug peddler held in Kulgam

Srinagar: Police in Kulgam have arrested a drug peddler near Wanpoh and recovered a “substantial quantity” of contraband substance from his possession.

A police spokesperson informed that police intercepted an auto-rickshaw (JK18D-9586) near Wanpoh and recovered 2.5 kilograms of poppy straw-like contraband substance from it. Identified as Manzoor Ahmad Baba, son of Ghulam Qadar Baba of Ghat Redwani Payeen, the man driving the auto was arrested and a case was registered for further investigation.
