KUPWARA: The District Employment & Counselling Centre (DE&CC) Kupwara today organized a One-Day Job Fair at its office premises.
The job fair, inaugurated by Assistant Director Employment, Kupwara, Arshad Qadir, witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 300 job aspirants across the district.
In his inaugural address, Assistant Director Employment guided the participating youth on how to benefit effectively from such employment initiatives. He further assured that the District Employment & Counselling Centre will continue to organize similar job-oriented events in the future for the benefit of the district’s unemployed youth.
Prominent employers and organizations that participated in the job fair included Al-Yafur Pvt. Ltd, LIC, Airtel, Swiggy, WEPS Training Institute, Byoh Health Care and LMS Corporation Pvt. Ltd.
During the fair, the participating employers interacted directly with the job seekers and conducted on-the-spot assessments. As a result of these interactions, 104 candidates were shortlisted for various positions across diverse sectors.
The District Employment & Counselling Centre, Kupwara, remains committed to empowering the youth through such employment initiatives and by providing essential counselling and career guidance to job aspirants.
