This, he according to the NC spokesperson, said while addressing a one-day youth convention convened and organised by YNC District President Srinagar Irshad Ahmad Anchari at the party headquarters, Nawa-e-Subha, Srinagar.

The event witnessed overwhelming participation from YNC functionaries across the district and enthusiastic involvement from young people representing diverse backgrounds and walks of life.

The convention served as a platform for youth engagement and political empowerment, with dozens of young individuals formally joining the party, reaffirming their trust in the National Conference’s vision and leadership.

YNC Provincial President Kashmir, Mir Mushtaq, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour, while MLA Lal Chowk, Ahsan Pardesi, was a special invitee and also addressed the gathering.

In his address, Irshad Ahmad Anchari lauded the contributions of his predecessors and emphasized the need to build on their legacy. He called upon the newly constituted YNC District Committee Srinagar to take the party’s youth wing to new heights by strengthening grassroots engagement and acting as an effective bridge between the people and the administration.“YNC Srinagar will not merely be an organization of the youth, but a dynamic force for positive change. We will work at the grassroots to channel the energy, talent, and concerns of our young people into meaningful action,” said Irshad, assuring that the team would strive to make YNC the voice of every young person in Srinagar.

Addressing the gathering, MLA Ahsan Pardesi encouraged the newly appointed YNC leadership to uphold the party’s legacy through committed and people-centric work.“I call upon the newly formed YNC District Committee to work with utmost dedication and sincerity. The youth of Srinagar are looking towards you with hope, and you must rise to the occasion,” he said.

YNC President Kashmir, Mir Mushtaq, and YNC Provincial Secretary Sheikh Ovaise also spoke on the importance of youth participation in democratic processes and praised the efforts of the district unit in organizing a successful and meaningful convention.

Concluding the event, Irshad Ahmad Anchari expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Party President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah for reposing faith in his leadership and nominating him as the YNC District President Srinagar.

“I am deeply thankful to our respected leaders for their trust. We will leave no stone unturned in strengthening the party’s youth base in Srinagar,” he said.
