MLA Bandipora inaugurates Udhyam Yuva Fest

BANDIPORA: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Bandipora, Nizam-ud-Din Bhat, on Saturday inaugurated the Udhyam Yuva Fest at Government Polytechnic College Bandipora.

The event was organised by the District Employment and Counselling Centre (DECC) Bandipora in collaboration with the college under Mission YUVA and as part of Sewa Pakhwada 2025.

The fest witnessed participation from students besides faculty and officers from DECC Bandipora. Competitions in Painting, Essay Writing, Speech, and Quiz were held, providing a platform for students to display their creativity, knowledge and communication skills.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Bandipora congratulated the winners and lauded the efforts of the organizers. He encouraged students to actively pursue skill development, entrepreneurship and career planning for a brighter future.

A felicitation ceremony was also held on the occasion, wherein winners were awarded prizes and certificates by MLA Bandipora, Assistant Director Employment Bandipora, and the Principal of Government Polytechnic College.

The fest also featured awareness and guidance sessions. Resource persons, including the Career Counselling Officer from the Employment Department, delivered lectures on entrepreneurship, career opportunities, Mission YUVA programmes and employment initiatives. A Resume and Start-Up Clinic was also conducted to equip students with practical skills.

The event was attended by the DDC Vice Chairperson Bandipora Kousar Shafeeq, Principal Government Polytechnic College Bandipora, Assistant Director Employment Bandipora, and other dignitaries.

The two-day fest concluded on a positive note, reinforcing the importance of youth empowerment and participatory initiatives under Mission YUVA.
