Gulam Ali Khatana, and BJP National Secretary & MLA Dr. Narinder Singh. Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that the entire Jammu & Kashmir is celebrating the birthday of the great ruler Maharaja Hari Singh Ji with pride because “today, we are an inseparable and proud part of the great Indian nation due to his vision and courage.” He described the Maharaja as a legendary social reformer who ruled not for power but to serve his people. He said that the Maharaja Hari Singh Ji granted the right to education to women and underprivileged, gave rights of worship to the Dalits, and initiated Panchayati Raj reforms. His philosophy was clear, as a ruler he had no religion, justice was his religion.

Jugal Kishore Sharma recalled the Maharaja’s role in uniting J&K with India. He said that due to deep-rooted conspiracies, Maharaja Hari Singh Ji was forced to leave his beloved state. It was the first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, who conspired with Mountbatten and Sheikh Abdullah to sideline the Maharaja and create unrest for decades.

Er. Gulam Ali Khatana said that Maharaja Hari Singh Ji always worked for the oppressed, neglected, and downtrodden. Unfortunately, political conspiracies undid much of his legacy. Today, it is only under Prime Minister Modi that justice is being delivered to the people of J&K with a clear, nationalist vision, he said.

Dr. Narinder Singh emphasized that the Congress continued the British practice of weakening nationalists for its own gains. Congress has always stood against national interest. They tried to erase Maharaja Hari Singh Ji’s contributions from history.

The programme witnessed emotional tributes from senior BJP leaders, who vowed to keep the Maharaja’s ideals alive. They stressed that his vision of justice, equality, and inclusive governance remains as relevant today as it was during his reign.

J&K BJP general secretaries Baldev Singh Billawaria and Gopal Mahajan conducted the programme proceedings and presented the note of thanks, respectively.

J&K BJP Vice-Presidents, Priya Sethi, Rajiv Charak, Rakesh Mahajan, and Rekha Mahajan, General Secretary Sanjita Dogra, MLAs Yudhvir Sethi, Arvind Gupta, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, Shagun Parihar, Chief Spokesperson Adv. Sunil Sethi, Ved Sharma, Adv. Rajesh Gupta, Naresh Singh Jasrotia, G.L. Raina, Dr. Abhijeet Singh Jasrotia, Dr Tahir, Adv Poornima Sharma, Adv Ankur Sharma, Rajni Sethi, Vikram Malhotra, Dr Hari Dutt Shishu, Adv Parimoksh, Ankit Gupta, Gaurav Gupta and Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Balbir Ram Rattan, and others were also present.
