Srinagar: Police in Sopore have arrested a pickpocket and recovered stolen cash from him, a police spokesperson informed Sunday.
He said Police Post Bus Stand Sopore received a written complaint stating that ₹5,000 had been stolen from the complainant’s pocket in the Main Market Sopore.
A case was registered under relevant sections and during investigation, police identified and apprehended the accused, Imran Ahmad Teeli, resident of Baramulla. The stolen cash of ₹5,000 was recovered from his possession, police said.
