Srinagar: Police in Handwara attached a residential house belonging to a “notorious” drug peddler Mohammad Akbar Malik, son of Mohammad Abdullah Malik of Guloora Langate.
A police spokesperson informed that the action was taken under sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act.
The attached property, identified as “proceeds of crime derived from narcotic trade”, has been seized under relevant legal provisions, police said.
