Power shutdown announced in parts of Sgr, Gbl on Sep 24 & 28

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Power Transmission Corporation Limited (JKPTCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of Srinagar and Ganderbal districts to facilitate repair and maintenance works at Grid Stations Khonmoh and Alasteng.

According to the Chief Engineer, JKPTCL Kashmir, in order to carry out repair and maintenance works of 132 KV and 33 KV Switchyard of 132/33 KV, 100 MVA, GSS Khonmoh, along with 132 KV Pampore-Khonmoh Tr. Line, shutdown of 33 KV SIDCO-I, 33 KV SIDCO-II and 33 KV SIDCO-III shall be observed due to which power supply to Khonmoh Old, Balhama, Wuyan, TCI, Khyber, SAIFCO, Covid Hospital, IE Khonmoh areas will remain affected from 10.00 AM to 04.00 PM on 28 September, 2025.

Also, to carry out routine and preventive maintenance of these Tr. Lines and associated 132 KV Bays, including maintenance of 132 KV Switchyard at Grid Station Alasteng, shutdown of 33 KV Alusteng-Zakura, 33 KV Alusteng-Nagbal, 33 KV Alusteng-Power House shall be observed due to which power supply to Ahmad Nagar, Umerhair, Buchpora, Shuhama, Bakura, Darend, Nagbal, Fatehpora, Gadoora, Tulbagh, Chunduna, Shairpathri, Beehama, Arampora, Arch, Nuner, Manigam, Duderhama, Malshaibagh, Wayil, Gutlibagh and adjoining areas will remain affected from 09.00 AM to 03.00 PM on 24 September, 2025.
