KULGAM: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, along with Minister for Education, Health and Social Welfare Sakeena Itoo, today visited Damhal Hanji Pora and laid the foundation stone of the Rest House, which will come up with an estimated cost of 2.94 crore.
Addressing a large gathering, the Deputy Chief Minister said the government is committed towards improving infrastructure across all sectors to provide better services to the people. He directed the concerned engineering wing to ensure the timely completion of the Rest House and other projects while maintaining quality standards.
The Deputy CM said that the government led by Omar Abdullah is determined to fulfil all promises made to the people. He further stated that several projects are going on to boost connectivity, public amenities, and holistic development, in line with the government’s vision of inclusive growth across Jammu & Kashmir.
The Deputy CM added that transparency, accountability, and a pro-people approach remain the government’s top priority.
Speaking on the occasion, Sakeena Itoo said that under the leadership of Omar Abdullah, the government is working with a clear vision to ensure holistic development across all regions of J&K.
She further stated that the establishment of the Rest House will add to the development profile of this area.
The Health Minister highlighted that the current government has restarted several long-pending projects, besides many new projects have been sanctioned, particularly in the health sector, to improve the overall well-being of the people.
