The tournaments had commenced earlier with an inauguration by SSP Kulgam Sahil Sarangal, and today culminated with colourful and spirited closing ceremonies attended by a large number of players, sports lovers, civil society members, and police officials. Played on a knockout basis, the tournaments witnessed participation of multiple teams drawn from different areas of District Kulgam.

The closing ceremony was graced by SSP Kulgam Sahil Sarangal as the chief guest, accompanied by Addl. SP Kulgam Mohammad Aftab Awan, DySP DAR Kulgam Mohd Ayub Rather, DySP PC Kulgam Akeel Shah and other senior officers of Kulgam Police.

While addressing the gathering, SSP Kulgam emphasized the role of sports in fostering discipline, unity, and resilience among youth. He highlighted that J&K Police has always been at the forefront in nurturing young talent by organizing sports, cultural, and educational activities across the Union Territory. Such initiatives, he noted, help channelize the energy of the younger generation towards positive and productive avenues. He reaffirmed that Kulgam Police will continue to organize such events in the future to strengthen the police-public bond and to provide youth with opportunities to showcase their talent.

On the occasion, trophies, medals, and cash prizes were presented to the winning and runner-up teams amidst loud cheers from the spectators. The event concluded with expressions of joy and encouragement from the crowd, symbolizing the deep connection between the police and the local community.
