Srinagar: Authorities on Monday said that they seized rotten meat from two separate locations in Budgam district.
Subsequently, FIR No. 255/2025 was registered at Police Station Budgam against Wazwaan Point Restaurant, and FIR No. 143/2025 was registered at Police Station Magam against Big Boss Restaurant, Magam, for selling rotten and unhygienic ‘Wazwaan’ (traditional Kashmiri cuisine) items prepared from meat, a police spokesperson informed.
He said legal action under Sections 271, 272, and 275 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 has been initiated against the offenders.
