SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today attended the 58th Engineers’ Day celebrations at Institution of Engineers (India), J&K State Centre (IEI JKSC), Srinagar, where he paid glowing tributes to Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya and underscored the vital role of engineers in nation-building.

Highlighting the importance of innovation and ethical responsibility, the Chief Minister said that engineers form the backbone of development and implementation. “Whether the government is successful or not, engineers play a very important role in this. We may come up with new ideas in meetings and sessions, but without you, they cannot be translated on the ground,” he said.
