Banihal: Two persons died in separate accidents in Banihal and Ramsoo areas of Ramban district on Sunday.
One Mohammad Iqbal Wani (43), son of Late Abdul Latief Wani, fell from the rooftop of a mosque at Sarbghani village in Ramsoo while carrying out repair work. He was rushed to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Banihal but was declared dead on arrival.
At Chapanari, Banihal, Sajjad Ahmad Naik (27), son of Rehmatullah Naik, slipped into a deep gorge while cutting grass. He was treated at SDH Banihal and later referred to GMC Anantnag for advanced care. However, he succumbed to his injuries en route near Qazigund.
