Srinagar: A scooty rider on Thursday was killed in a road accident on the Boulevard in Srinagar, officials said.

An official said that the accident took place between a scooty bearing registration number JK01AX-5806 with a CRPF truck, resulting in critical injuries to the rider.

The deceased was identified as Asif Ahmed Rather, son of Gh Mohideen Rather, resident of Brain Nishat, Srinagar.

“The injured was shifted to the Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries,” the official said, adding that further details are awaited. (KNO)
