Srinagar: Cricket enthusiasts and aspiring young cricketers in Kashmir received a rare and invaluable opportunity today as former Indian Cricket Captain, Mohammad Azharuddin, conducted a specialized training camp at the MS Cricket Academy.

The event, held under his mentorship, was a significant boost for the sport in the region, providing local talent with direct access to a cricketing legend.

The training camp, which was previously postponed from its original August 24 schedule, was a highly anticipated affair. Azharuddin, renowned for his elegant batting style and astute leadership, shared his vast experience from representing India at the highest level. His hands-on guidance and insights into the finer nuances of the game were aimed at honing the skills of the budding cricketers in attendance.

As the chief guest for the day, Mohammad Azharuddin’s presence was a major highlight. He was joined by a number of other prominent figures, including: Salman Ali Sagar, NC, Nuzhat Gul, Secretary J&K Sports Council, Rayees, DIG CID Kashmir, DSP Zadibal, SHO Ahmed Nagar.

The presence of these dignitaries underscored the importance of the event and the collaborative effort to promote sports development in Jammu & Kashmir. The training camp is being hailed as a major step forward for cricket in the valley, providing a unique platform for young players to learn from one of the game’s greats and to be inspired to pursue their cricketing dreams.
