JK Ministers express grief over loss of lives in Ramban, Reasi tragedies

SRINAGAR: Expressing profound grief and sorrow over the tragic loss of lives in Ramban and Reasi districts following recent cloudburst and landslide incidents, Ministers Javid Ahmad Dar, Javed Ahmed Rana, Sakeena Itoo and Satish Sharma conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.

The Ministers described the calamities as deeply painful and acknowledged the immense suffering caused to the affected families and communities. They prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls and wished speedy recovery to the injured.

Reiterating the government’s commitment to stand by the people in this hour of grief, the Ministers assured that all possible assistance, including relief and rehabilitation measures, is being provided on priority. They appreciated the prompt efforts of the rescue teams, disaster management authorities, health departments, police and district administrations for their tireless work in extending support to the affected.

The Ministers also appealed to the public to remain cautious in view of the inclement weather, avoid vulnerable and landslide-prone areas, and strictly adhere to safety advisories issued by the administration.
