Advisor to CM meets public delegations, assures timely redress of issues

SRINAGAR: Advisor to the Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani, today held a series of meetings with various public delegations at the Rabita Office, Gupkar and listened to their issues and demands.

A delegation of employees of the Cooperative Department highlighted the issue of pay disparity with the executive staff.

The Advisor assured the delegation that their concerns would be examined sympathetically.

The JKAS aspirants called for permanent restoration of the open merit upper age limit to 37 years in line with other States and UTs. The Advisor assured that the matter would be taken up with the concerned authorities for due consideration.

Representatives from New Colony Summerbugh raised the issue of the rehabilitation of 51 families and the lack of basic facilities.

The Advisor assured that necessary steps will be initiated to address the genuine concerns of the residents.

The Advisor also met a deputation of Dragon boat athletes led by Shafqat Watali. The delegation projected several issues related to water sports.

Later, a delegation of the All Kashmir Wholesale Mutton Dealers Union led by its General Secretary sought urgent intervention to stop the extortion of livestock transit trucks in Punjab, which has been affecting the Kashmiri businessmen.

The Advisor assured that the issue would be taken up with the concerned authorities for immediate redressal.

While interacting with the deputations, the Advisor reiterated that the Government is committed to the timely redressal of issues being faced by the people. He assured that every effort is being made to ensure responsive and accountable governance in the Union Territory.
