Srinagar: Police in Budgam arrested a drug peddler in Chadoora area and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
During naka checking at Nowbugh village, one Hilal Ahmed Dar, son of Abdul Rashid Dar of Nowbugh, Chadoora, was arrested after 2.92 kgs of poppy straw was recovered from his possession.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Chadoora for further investigation, a police spokesperson said.
