Pr Secy Home visits Chashoti Kishtwar to oversee rescue efforts

KISHTWAR: On the directions of Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, Principal Secretary Home, Chandraker Bharti today visited Chashoti village in Kishtwar to assess the ongoing rescue and relief operations following the recent devastating cloudburst.

The Principal Secretary was accompanied by DIG Shridhar Patil; Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pankaj Kumar Sharma; SSP Kishtwar Naresh Singh; CEO Emergency Relief Organisation (ERO), Dr. Amir Hussain; ACR Kishtwar Idrees lone and other senior officers.

During the visit, the Principal Secretary undertook a comprehensive assessment of the ground situation, engaged with local residents, and held detailed interactions with rescue personnel and civil administration teams.

He also evaluated the immediate requirements of the affected families to ensure the timely delivery of relief and rehabilitation measures.

The Principal Secretary underscored the need for a swift, coordinated, and sustained response from all concerned departments and agencies to maximise rescue outcomes and accelerate relief and rehabilitation efforts.
