Jammu,: JKPCC Chief Tariq Hameed Karra and other senior leaders have expressed deep shock over the loss of lives in the cloudburst incident that struck the Janglote area of Kathua district today.

They urged for urgent relief, rescue, and rehabilitation measures on a war footing.

The tragedy has claimed seven lives, while several others sustained injuries.

Karra, along with senior party leaders Raman Bhalla, Ch. Lal Singh, Th. Balwan Singh, Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, former minister Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma, former legislator Th. Balbir Singh, In-charge HQ Ved Mahajan, and DCC President Pankaj Dogra, conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and underscored the need for a coordinated response.

Karra took immediate action by urging the government to mobilize all necessary resources, including men and machinery, to assist in the relief operations. He emphasized the importance of providing urgent medical aid to the injured and stressed the need for a swift and efficient response to address the emergencies arising from the disaster.

He also contacted Congress party leaders in Kathua without delay and instructed them to engage actively in the ongoing relief and rescue efforts, urging them to extend every possible help and assistance to the affected people.
