Srinagar: Police in Sopore claimed to have arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
“A police team at a checkpoint established at Maharajpora, Sopore arrested a drug peddler identified as Himayun Rasool Kundoo son of Ghulam Rasool Kundoo resident of Sher Colony, Sopore. During search, substantial quantity of poppy straw was recovered from his possession,” said a police spokesperson.
“Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 157/2025 under relevant provisions of law has been registered at Police Station Sopore and investigation has been initiated,” he said.
