Security Headquarters holds Departmental Promotion Committee meeting

SRINAGAR: The Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting of Security Headquarters, held here the other day under the chairmanship of Surjit Kumar, IGP Security, J&K, at Security Headquarters.

The committee, supervised by Rashmi Wazir, DIG Security J&K, reviewed the service records of 98 officials from the Security Wing of J&K Police.

After thorough examination, the DPC found all 98 officials eligible for In-Situ promotion, comprising 29 Head Constables, 67 Sub-Inspectors and 2 Follow-up Officers. The committee recommended their promotion with effect from the date of their eligibility.

IGP Security, J&K, Sujit Kumar, subsequently granted In-Situ promotions to the officials and extended his congratulations to them and their families. He also appreciated the DPC members for completing the process in a timely manner.

This development is expected to boost morale and motivation among the personnel of the Security Wing, recognizing their hard work and dedication to serving the J&K Police.
