Chief Convener Chinar Book Festival, Director National Book Trust, others call on LG

SRINAGAR: Dr Amit Wanchoo, Chief Convener, Chinar Book Festival and Yuvraj Malik, Director, National Book Trust today called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.

They discussed the upcoming Chinar Book Festival-2025, scheduled to be held from 2nd to 10th August at Srinagar.

More than 300 publishers are expecting to participate in the book fest and the books will be available for students at a discounted rate. This year, major attractions also include exhibitions of Sharda script, focusing on Kashmiri, Gojri and Dogri languages and special sessions on local dialects.

Meanwhile, a delegation of Akhil Bharat Rachnatmak Samaj (ABRS) led by its National President Bibhuti Kumar Mishra called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.

The members of the delegation apprised the Lieutenant Governor on the ongoing Jai Jagat Karuna Yatra, which aimed at spreading the message of peace and unity. They also put forth various important issues pertaining to youth empowerment and revitalising the Gandhian mission in the Union Territory.
