The DGP underscored strengthening the intelligence grid and focused on conducting successful operations.

“The Director General of Police visited the range police headquarters in Batote to review the security, law and order situation, anti-terror operations and administrative readiness in Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban districts,” said a police officer.

The DGP was, during his visit, briefed by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Shridhar Patil and other district police chiefs.

“A detailed review meeting was held at Bhaderwah to assess deployment for the Amarnath Yatra and anti-terrorist operations,” the officer added.

Lauding the efforts of the civil and police administration in ensuring peaceful conduct of the Amarnath Yatra, the DGP emphasized on strengthening the intelligence grid, focusing on the successful execution of operations and ensuring the welfare of police personnel.

He laid special emphasis on eliminating both existing and new terrorist groups hiding in the higher reaches of these districts as well as dismantling the overground support networks of anti-national elements.

The DGP during his visit to Batote highlighted strengthening the intelligence grid and conducting successful operations.

The DGP’s visits reinforced the importance of inter-agency coordination in maintaining peace and stability in the region, the officer said.
