In the Volleyball finals, Amargarh Volleyball Club outplayed Uri Volleyball Club in the boys’ category in a match marked by intense rallies and spirited defense. In the girls’ category, KIC Srinagar emerged victorious over KIC Baramulla, with both teams showcasing commendable skill and coordination. Each category featured 28 participants, highlighting strong grassroots-level representation in the sport.

The Senior Men’s Kabaddi final delivered high-octane action as Harmukh Warriors edged out United North Kashmir in a closely contested match. A total of 24 players participated, drawing loud cheers from the spectators who packed the indoor stadium.

Karate events also added flair to the festival, with 16 matches featuring 25 participants across various weight and age groups. Though final results were still being compiled at press time, the matches drew appreciation for technical finesse and discipline.

At the GDC Ground, the football clash between Hyder FC and Dash FC kicked off at 5:30 PM. With 24 players on the field and nearly 200 spectators initially in attendance—numbers that swelled as the game progressed—the match contributed to a festive and inclusive sporting atmosphere across the town.

The finals were graced by Brigadier Rajat Mohan Bhatt, PhD, Commander 19 Artillery Brigade, who served as the Chief Guest. Among the distinguished guests were Altaf Ahmed, Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla; Tariq Ahmed Chalkoo, Principal GDC Baramulla; and Zahoor Ahmed Wani, District Youth Services and Sports Officer.

In total, the day’s events saw the participation of 184 athletes and drew an audience of over 1,250, marking a high point in the festival’s calendar. The success of the finals stands as a testament to the transformative power of sport in promoting youth engagement, camaraderie, and community cohesion in north Kashmir.
