DDC Shopian finalizes District Capex Plan 2025-26

SHOPIAN: District Development Council (DDC) Shopian today convened a meeting at Mini Secretariat Shopian in order to finalise the District Capex Plan for Rural Development for the financial year 2025-26.

At the outset, members discussed the plan in detail and scrutinised the sector-wise allocation of funds earmarked for various developmental works under the District Capex Plan.

On the occasion, DDC members highlighted key developmental concerns from their respective constituencies and put forth suggestions aimed at improving the performance and delivery of various departments.

A threadbare discussion was held on the development and prioritization of important infrastructure projects in the district.

After extensive deliberations, District Development Council unanimously approved the Area Development Plan under the District Capex Budget 2025-26, comprising more than 900 works amounting to Rs 999 lacs.

The meeting witnessed the presence of DDC members, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Chief Planning Officer (CPO), Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Executive Engineer REW, Block Development Officers of various blocks, and other district and sectoral officers.
