DC Sgr reviews sanctioning of cases of entrepreneurs under Mission Yuva

SRINAGAR: In order to ensure swift and seamless implementation of the Mission YUVA scheme aimed to facilitate the success of enterprises in the district, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, on Wednesday, chaired a meeting here at the Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex.

At the outset, DC took a department-wise review of the implementation of the Mission Yuva scheme and stressed the stakeholder departments to ensure swift and seamless implementation of the scheme to facilitate the success of youth-led enterprises in the district.

DC stressed strong on-ground implementation and effective interdepartmental coordination to avoid delays in sanctioning & disposal of benefits to the eligible beneficiaries. He directed regular performance monitoring of progress under Mission YUVA on a daily basis and convening District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) meetings every Wednesday till the disposal of all the received applications.

On the occasion, DC asked the stakeholder departments to redouble their efforts to ensure swift processing/verification and uploading of Mission Yuva cases on the portal.

He stressed on implementation of Mission YUVA into a viable platform for empowering youth through sustainable self-employment and an entrepreneurship ecosystem in the district.

Earlier, DC took a detailed appraisal about the status of awareness campaigns going on at the Panchayat level, Municipal Wards of the district, aimed to cover all eligible beneficiaries under Mission Yuva.

He also evaluated the progress of DPR formulation by the stakeholder departments, including EDI, DIC, DSEO and Employment department and was informed that as many as 329 DPRs have been formulated so far and are being submitted to DLIC for accord of approval.

During the meeting, detailed information was given on the status of Mission YUVA, including the number of applications received, processed, sanctioned, etc, under the scheme.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Rifat Aftab Qureshi; Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar; General Manager DIC, Hamida Akhtar; SDM West, Irfan Bahadur, Deputy Director Employment, Dr. Sheeba, DSEO, Shah Ismail Bangroo, LDM(Banks), Nilofer Jan and Officers from EDI, NABARD, NRLM, Agriculture and other concerned Departments.
