Baramulla: A distinguished gathering of retired bureaucrats, senior officers, professors, legal experts, journalists, engineers, and civil society leaders from across Jammu & Kashmir convened at the Central Office of Human Aid Society in Baramulla Chaired by Ex-Deputy Commissioner Ghulam Ahmad Kwaja, the meeting focused on growing social evils that demand urgent and collective attention.
Key concerns raised included the misuse of social media, drug abuse, increasing school dropouts, dowry and extravagant marriage practices, and environmental degradation driven by climate change.
The participants expressed alarm over the moral and social decline in the region and emphasized that retired professionals continue to carry a moral duty to guide and support society.
Participants also highly appreciated the efforts of Mr. Ghulam Ahmad Kwaja, who took the initiative to organize this meeting and travelled all the way from Jammu despite health constraints. His presence rekindled connections with old friends and well-wishers, and he infused the gathering with a new spirit of purpose and unity, which was widely acknowledged as both inspiring and remarkable
