Superintending Engineer apprised that all requisite arrangements have been put in place for the Yatra, which is scheduled to commence on 3rd July 2025. He briefed the MD on the illumination arrangements made at various padavs, including the deployment of DG sets of varying capacities, and the installation of solar lighting systems in shadow zones and along stretches where grid supply is not feasible.

It was informed that adequate fuel stocks are available at all sites, with regular replenishment protocols in place. A sufficient number of buffer Distribution Transformers (DTs) and standby DG sets have also been stationed to meet any unforeseen contingencies.

At the major Nunwan Base Camp, MD personally reviewed the progress of underground cabling works and expressed satisfaction over the pace and quality of execution.

It was further conveyed that, with additional padavs becoming operational and enhanced security deployments, the Division had to activate contingency reserves to handle the increased load, an effort that has so far been managed effectively by the Division.

MD emphasized that no stone must be left unturned in delivering efficient services to the pilgrims and assured that the management will remain fully supportive and responsive to the needs of the teams on the ground.

“This sacred Yatra is a matter of collective responsibility. KPDCL will ensure that the power supply framework remains resilient, responsive, and fully equipped to serve the thousands of pilgrims undertaking the holy journey,” MD stated, while reiterating his commitment to provide all necessary institutional support to field units.

Among others, MD was accompanied by concerned Executive Engineers, Assistant Executive Engineers, and other officials of the Corporation during the visit.
