SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a scheduled power shutdown in several areas of Budgam district on June 24, 2025, to facilitate critical infrastructure work.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the shutdown is necessary to carry out the shifting of load from the Old Aripanthan Feeder to the Budran Feeder at the Receiving Station Magam.

As a result, the 33 kV Ahmedpora-Beerwah line will remain shut down, affecting the 33/11 kV Receiving Stations at Magam, Arizal, Aripanthan, and Khag.

The power supply will remain suspended from 08:00 AM to 12:00 PM, impacting the following areas:

Sail, Gondipora, Old Beerwah, Arwah, Najan, Chewdara, Beerwah Town, Sonpah, Hospital, Zainigam, Doodhpathri, Khag, Arizal, and adjoining areas.

KPDCL has urged residents to bear with the inconvenience, assuring that the upgrade aims to improve overall service reliability and load management in the region.
