House Committee on JJM holds review meeting

SRINAGAR: The House Committee, constituted to look into the alleged irregularities in the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), today convened a review meeting at the Legislative Assembly Complex, Srinagar.

Committee Chairman, Hasnain Masoodi, presided over the meeting, which was attended by members Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami, Ali Mohammad Dar, Altaf Ahmad Wani, Rajiv Jasrotia, Ranbir Singh Pathania, Tanveer Sadiq, Javaid Riyaz (Bedar), Muzaffar Iqbal Khan, Rafiq Ahmad Naik, Arjun Singh Raju and Iftikar Ahmad.

During the meeting, the Committee held a detailed discussion on various aspects related to the implementation of JJM works across the Union Territory. The members reviewed the status of ongoing projects and assessed the overall progress under the scheme.

The Chairman stressed the need for close coordination between the Committee members and the concerned officers to ensure that the objectives of the Mission are met effectively for larger public good.

The members also shared their inputs and called for timely submission of detailed, division-wise reports regarding the schemes under implementation.

The Committee resolved to hold regular review meetings to monitor the pace of work and take timely decisions in line with the Committee’s mandate.
