Srinagar: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has announced revised school timings for both government and recognised private schools in the Kashmir Division, effective from June 21, 2025.

According to an order, schools falling within the Srinagar Municipal limits will function from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, while schools falling outside the Municipal limits of Srinagar district and other areas of Kashmir Province will function from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm.

“The order/instructions shall be adhered to strictly by all the concerned institutions. Any deviation in this regard shall be viewed seriously,” the order reads.

The directive has been issued to ensure the smooth functioning of educational institutions amid the prevailing heatwave conditions.
