CII J&K Organizes Education Summit 2025, themed ‘Future of Education in J&K’

Srinagar: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) J&K organised the CII J&K Education Summit 2025 at SSM College of Engineering, focusing on the theme “Future of Education in J&K.”

The event brought together educators, industry leaders, and policymakers to explore innovative solutions and collaborative efforts in reshaping the educational landscape of J&K.

The inaugural address was delivered by Dr. M A Alim, Chairman of CII J&K, emphasizing the critical need for multi-stakeholder collaboration. He stated, “This summit underscores the importance of collaboration among government, academia, industry, and civil society to co-create and implement scalable, sustainable solutions. CII envisions playing the role of a catalyst—bridging the gap between policy and practice, traditional teaching models and future-ready learning, and education and employability.”

During the Summit, topics like Artificial Intelligence, Employability, Women in STEM, and Implementation of NEP 2020

The speakers at the summit were Mr. G N War, President, Private Schools Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK) Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad Siddiqi, Chief Coordinator, NEP Cell, KU, Prof. Parvez Ahmad Mir, CEO, CIED, IUST, Mr. Viraj Singh, Director, Woodland House School, Mr. Faiq Rather, Director, Oxford Presentation School, Dr. Iqra Altaf Gilani, Assistant Professor, NIT Srinagar, Dr. Janibul Bashir, Assistant Professor, NIT Srinagar, Dr. Ajaz Malik, Senior Scientist, SKUAST-Kashmir

Mr. Iqram Ali Shafiee, Vice Chairman of CII J&K, while delivering his address, said, “This summit will serve as a springboard for sustained collaboration, bold ideas, and transformative action.

The session was moderated by Haya Qazi, Co-Convenor of CII J&K Education Panel, who mentioned that this is the initiation of a journey to improve the education ecosystem with the help of all stakeholders of the ecosystem.

The summit was well attended by academicians, school principals, faculty members and research scholars.
