BARAMULLA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, today chaired a meeting at the DC Office and finalized the action plan for the upcoming IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) campaign for implementation of Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA).

During the camp, concerned departments will install stalls to provide information on the schemes and on-the-spot service delivery to the invited eligible beneficiaries from all the tribal villages of Baramulla.

The campaign, which will last 15 days, aims to saturate 25 schemes across 17 central ministries in all 8 identified tribal villages of Baramulla. These flagship initiatives aim to empower tribal communities, including Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), by ensuring comprehensive awareness and delivery of government services at the grassroots level.

During the meeting, DC directed widespread distribution of IEC materials regarding 25 different centrally sponsored schemes as part of DAJGUA in multiple tribal and regional languages to ensure effective outreach.

Meanwhile, strict directions were passed for holding Benefit Saturation Camps at all 8 tribal villages to provide essential services such as issuance of Aadhaar cards, ration cards, caste certificates, and Ayushman health cards directly to eligible tribal beneficiaries.

DC also called for active involvement of youth, NGOs and community leaders through engagement activities, including Gram Sabhas, street plays, and awareness drives for the widespread outreach.

Furthermore, Minga Sherpa called for daily real-time reporting of campaign progress via geo-tagged photographs, attendance records, and event reports on a centralized dashboard managed by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

Additionally, DC instructed the heads of all the concerned departments to work in tandem and effective collaboration to ensure that the benefits reach the deserving beneficiaries.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, Joint Director Planning, Assistant Commissioner Development, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Superintending Engineer JKPDCL, and other concerned officers.
