Arrangements finalized for smooth conduct of Urs Haji Murad Bukhari (RA)

BARAMULLA: In a bid to ensure the seamless and spiritually enriching observance of the annual Urs of Hazrat Haji Murad Bukhari (RA), Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Baramulla, Syed Altaf Hussain Musvi chaired a meeting at Kreeri to finalize arrangements for the upcoming event.

ADC emphasized the importance of inter-departmental coordination to facilitate smooth conduct of the Urs. He directed all concerned officials to remain proactive and ensure timely execution of their responsibilities, keeping in mind the large number of devotees expected to attend.

Detailed discussions were held around essential services such as traffic regulation, security deployment, health care, sanitation, and power supply. The ADC stressed the need for clear traffic flow plans, functional medical aid stations, uninterrupted electricity, and enhanced cleanliness measures around the shrine and congregation areas.

Officers were instructed to ensure the comfort and safety of devotees at all stages. Special attention will be given to crowd management and emergency response systems, with adequate deployment of police personnel, medical teams, and fire services. Drinking water and sanitation facilities will be made readily available throughout the duration of the event.

The meeting was attended by the Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Tehsildar, Block Development Officer, Block Medical Officer along with officers from the Police, PHE, PDD, R&B, Fire and Emergency Services, and other concerned departments.
