Missing Shopian man’s body recovered from Aharbal

Kulgam: A body of a man, who had gone missing near the Aharbal waterfall in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, was recovered today morning, officials said.

An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the man had gone missing near the Aharbal fall during an outing on Sunday.

He said that following the incident the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) was pressed into service to retrieve the body.

“After intense search operation, the SDRF recovered the body today morning and later handed it over to police for medico-legal formalities,” he said.

The deceased has been identified as Wasim Ahmad Malik (33) son of Mohammad Yaseen Malik of New Colony Alayipora, Shopian—(KNO)
