Javid Dar visits hailstorm-affected villages in Rafiabad

BARAMULLA: Minister for Agriculture Production Department, Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj, Javid Ahmed Dar, today visited several hailstorm-affected villages in Rafiabad to assess the crop damage and meet with the affected farmers.

During the visit, the Minister interacted with the farmers from Panzulla, Balhama, Ladu, Ladoora, Bramen, Khahmoo and Shaitloo villages, who had suffered crop losses due to the recent hailstorm. He expressed solidarity with the farming community and assured them that the government stands committed towards providing all possible support and assistance.

Javid Dar instructed the concerned departments to undertake an immediate assessment of damages and extend necessary relief measures.

“The primary objective of this visit is to take a firsthand account of the damage, address the grievances of our farmers and ensure that they receive the necessary relief. The government is fully committed towards safeguarding the interests of the farming community,” the Minister stated.

The Minister reiterated that the welfare of farmers remains a top priority for the government and assured that all departments will work in close coordination to mitigate the impact of such natural calamities on agriculture and rural livelihoods.
