Jammu: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday attributed the success of Operation Sindoor to India’s capabilities and innovations in the defence sector, adding that the military strike showcased the nation’s scientific might.

According to an official press release, flagging off the Physics Bharat Yatra from Udhampur, Sinha highlighted that Operation Sindoor has demonstrated India’s scientific prowess. “It has shown that our scientists, defence personnel, and jawans are second to none in the world. This victory is a tribute to their dedication. It is also a vindication of our steadfast commitment to self-reliance.”

Sinha maintained that India’s military might reflect the scientists’ resolve to comprehensively strengthen national security and drive the country’s economy on a growth trajectory.

“The success of Operation Sindoor reflects India’s indigenous defence capabilities, innovations in the defence sector, and technological advancements. Our scientists are unwavering and determined to make historic strides in new areas of science and technology,” the LG said.

The LG lauded the initiative being spearheaded by the Indian Association of Physics Teachers and the National Anveshika Network of India under the leadership of physicist Padma Shri Dr H C Verma to foster experimental science learning and ignite curiosity, creativity, and scientific temper among students.

Observing that the yatra will cover every district of India, Sinha asserted that it will unify diverse regions under a shared mission to revive the joy of learning science.

“When science is deeply woven into the fabric of society, it not only fosters innovation but can also significantly shape the direction of a nation by improving the quality of life for the entire society,” the LG said.

Highlighting how under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s approach towards ‘Atmanirbharta’ has fundamentally changed, Sinha stated, “Our scientists know that India cannot depend on others to defend her. We have developed our own indigenous capabilities, and our successful strike is a symbol of a resurgent India.”

Emphasising the need for bringing new scientific advancements to classrooms and laboratories, the LG urged the teaching community and educational institutions to provide young researchers with a broader canvas and bigger goals for experimentation.

The LG also called upon Indian scientists and engineers around the world to consider returning home, assuring that conditions are now favourable for pioneering inventions and that they can significantly contribute to India’s scientific and economic leadership.

“The confluence of Science, Spirituality, and Sanskar has powered India’s global standing. We are strategically investing in scientific and technological advancement to make India a leading global scientific power”, he said.

He further said that the scientists, innovators, and researchers are determined to reclaim ancient glory and build a developed India by 2047.

“It is our national resolve,” the LG said.

Dr HC Verma shared the vision and objective behind Physics Bharat Yatra. He said the initiative aims to promote experiential and hands-on learning, and encourage the people, especially the youth to make science a part of their day-to-day life.

On the occasion, the LG also inspected the Physics Exhibition showcasing students’-led models and experiments.

At another function, LG said: “India has warned terror state Pakistan that our forces can attack every inch of its land and its entire existence could be wiped off from the face of the earth, if it continues to nurture terrorists in its backyard,” Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said Monday.

According to an official press release, attending the performance of Rashtrakavi Ramdhari Singh Dinkar’s epic poem ‘Rashmirathi’, organised by University of Jammu, Sinha in his address paid homage to the great poet Ramdhari Singh Dinkar and recalled his invaluable contribution to Hindi literature, Indian nationalism, and society at large.

“Dinkar is incomparable. His poems are timeless and each verse is dedicated to existence. He induces intense feelings in his epic and the nation can sing a song through his words. Our ancestors and great warriors have given voice to their feelings through the immortal personality of Dinkar,” he said.

The LG said that the representation of Dinkar’s epic was dedicated to heroes of the armed forces, who taught a lesson to the terrorist nation Pakistan and demonstrated courage, sacrifice, prowess and justice.

“Rashmirathi is not just our ancient history. It is a symbol of ancient values of righteousness and dharma which is more relevant than ever before in the evolving Geopolitical Situation,” the LG said.

The LG saluted the valour and indomitable courage of brave soldiers of the Indian armed forces for their strong and decisive action against terrorist country Pakistan through Operation Sindoor.

“I am proud to see that our young generation is fulfilling the dreams of our founding fathers. They are upholding the democratic values, protecting the sovereignty and integrity of the nation and making sure that terror state Pakistan is punished for its misadventure,” the LG said.

He also called upon the youth to seize the immense opportunity to serve the nation and play a vital role in shaping the country’s future development.

“Just like brave soldiers are standing firm in protecting the borders, similarly our young students too should dedicate themselves in driving innovation and India’s economic growth,” the LG further said.
