JKBOSE announces restoration of November session for class 10-12 exams in Kashmir, winter zone Jammu

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) on Wednesday notified restoration of the November session of exams for classes 10th to 12th annual regular examinations, across Kashmir and winter zone areas of Jammu division.

The notification in this regard has been issued by the Director Academics JKBOSE.

The move comes months after the Jammu and Kashmir government restored the previous November session of examination for classes up to 9th.

As already reported, the National Conference led government in October last year restored the November session in schools across Kashmir.

“As a sequel to the government order issued on November 6 of 2024 and in suspension of notification issued on September 22 of 2022, it is hereby notified for the information of all stakeholders that previous academic session is hereby restored from current year (2025) in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh,” the notification reads.

As per the notification, the academic session in case of Kashmir division and winter zones areas of Jammu division and UT of Ladakh shall be 2024-25, entailing conduct of the annual regular examination of class 9th to 12th in October -November 2025.

“The academic session in case of summer zone areas of Jammu division shall be 2025-26, entailing conduct of annual regular exams of class 9th to 12th in March-April,” it reads.

The notification further reads that after conducting annual regular examination in October-November month in Kashmir division and winter zone areas of Jammu division, the results will be declared in January month of the next year.

Similarly, after holding exams of secondary and senior secondary classes in March-April months, the result will be declared in May next year.
