Power shutdown schedule announced across multiple areas for maintenance work

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns in various parts of the Valley to carry out essential maintenance work, including branch cutting, tree pruning, and infrastructure upgradation.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, in order to carry out branch cutting/ pruning of trees coming under alignment of these 33 KV Lines, shutdown of 33KV Potushai Aloosa line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Station at Aloosa shall remain off while power supply to Aloosa, PHE, Quail, Malangam and adjoining areas besides BB Cant Tap Line will be affected from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 23 May, 2025.

Similarly, the shutdown of 33KV Potushai Nadihal Line/ 33 KV Ajar line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Ajar, Nusoo, Naidhal, Panzigam, Ajas shall remain off while power supply to Nusoo, Naidhal, Ajas, Garoora, Papchan, Nishat, Argam, Ajar, Arin, Saderkoot, Sadnara, Authwatoo and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 24 May, 2025.

Further, the shutdown of 33KV Potushai Gurez line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Dawar, Gurez shall remain off while power supply to Dawar, Wanpora, Tragbal, NHPC and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 25, 27 & 29 May 2025.

Meanwhile, in a separate shutdown schedule issued from the office of Chief Engineer KPDCL, in order to facilitate upgradation of 33 KV Wanpoh SICOP line from 0.1 ACSR to 0.2 ACSR, the shutdown of 33KV Wanpoh SICOP line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Shamsipora, SICOP, Zirpara, Veer and Cheeniwadder shall remain off while power supply to Shamsipora, SICOP, Bijbehara, Darigund, Kanelwan, Veer, Zirpara, Jablipora, Srigufwara and adjoining areas will be affected from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM on 22, 24 & 26 May, 2025.
