Baramulla, May 16: Jammu and Kashmir Bank on Thursday felicitated Mudasir Naqshbandi, a young entrepreneur from Baramulla, for the growth of his venture Bake My Cake, which began with a ₹3 lakh loan under the PM Mudra Yojana.
Naqshbandi, who started his bakery in January 2022, has since expanded his business to employ over 40 people. His efforts recently earned national recognition, including a live interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the “10 Years of PM Mudra Yojana” event.
The felicitation event was held at the bank’s Zonal Office in Baramulla. General Manager (CAM) Ashutosh Sareen, Zonal Head Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat, and Deputy General Manager Rakesh Magotra attended the ceremony.
“Mudasir’s growth reflects how credit support can help small businesses scale and create jobs,” said Sareen. Zonal Head Bhat added that Naqshbandi’s business has received ₹50 lakh in credit support so far, and his success demonstrates the role of financial institutions in enabling entrepreneurship.
Naqshbandi credited the bank’s support and urged other aspiring entrepreneurs to take initiative. “I wanted to show that Kashmiri youth can succeed in business with the right support,” he said.
