Power shutdown announced in several areas of Kashmir for maintenance work

Srinagar: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in various areas to carry out essential installation, repair, and upgradation works on the 33kv lines over the coming days.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, to carry out installation and repair of the 33 KV Isolators along the line route and other stabilisation works, shutdown of 33kv Nehalpora Markundal line shall be observed due to which 33/11kv Receiving Stations at Markundal, Naidkhai, Shahgund, Aglar shall remain off while power supply to Markundal, Naidkhai, Shahgund, Ankhul, Gundboon will be affected from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 29 April, 2025.

Similarly in order to facilitate shifting of electrical utilities along the road, the shutdown of 33KV Badampora Wangipora Tap line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Batwina, Wangipora, Nowgam shall remain off while power supply to Batwina, Nowgam, Wangipora, Zazna, Ahan, Waskura, Kharbagh, Sumbal, Nesbal and adjoining areas will be affected from 09:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 30 April, 2025.

Also in this connection, the shutdown of 33KV Badampora Army Hakbara line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Hakbara, Hajin, Madwan Army shall remain off while power supply to Hajin, Preng, Madwan, Banyari, Hakbara, Chandergeer and adjoining areas will be affected from 09:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 30 April, 2025.

Further, to carry out the upgradation of 33 KV Wanpoh SICOP line from 0.1 ACSR to 0.2 ACSR, the shutdown of 33 KV Wanpoh SICOP line shall be observed, due to which 33/11 KV Receiving Stations at Shamsipora, SICOP shall remain off while power supply to Shamsipora, Jablipora, SICOP and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 29 April and 01 May, 2025.

Also in this connection, 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Shamsipora, SICOP, Zirpara, Veeri, Cheniwader shall remain off while power supply to Veer, Srigufwara, Zirpara, Shamsipora, Jablipora, SICOP Bijbehara and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 03 & May 05, 2025.
