Drug-free J&K initiative: Distt Admin Sgr organizes Awareness prog at GBHSS Gund Hassibhat

SRINAGAR: Continuing its intensified Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaigns under the drugs-free Jammu & Kashmir initiative, the District Administration Srinagar today organized awareness programme at Government Boys Higher Secondary School (GBHSS) Gund Hassibhat.

The awareness programme was held on the directions of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat to raise awareness about the illicit impacts of the drugs on the individuals, their families and the society.

The event witnessed active participation from officials representing the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Departments of Education, Health, Excise, Social Welfare and other concerned. School staff and students also took part in the programme.

During the programme, speakers highlighted the importance of collective community responsibility in addressing the growing challenge of substance abuse. They urged the youth to channel their energy into constructive and developmental pursuits.

Students pledged to become active change-makers and advocates for a drug-free society within their own communities.
