Srinagar: An unidentified body was recovered by police near the new power grid station in Ompora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday.
Officials said that a decomposed male body was spotted by locals at a shop, who immediately informed the police. A police team reached the spot and took the body into custody.
Preliminary investigation has been initiated to ascertain the identity and cause of death, they said, adding that further details will be shared once available. (JKNS)
