The Vice President “strongly condemned the dastardly terror attack” and reaffirmed Washington’s commitment to stand with New Delhi during this difficult time, according to a statement posted by MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal on X.

“Vice President Vance also expressed that the United States is ready to provide all assistance in the joint fight against terrorism,” the statement, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said, underscoring a renewed push for counter-terror cooperation between the two nations.

Prime Minister Modi thanked Vice President Vance and U.S. President Donald Trump for their messages of support and solidarity.

Earlier, former U.S. President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to express his condolences and support following the Pahalgam terror attack. “Deeply disturbing news out of Kashmir. The United States stands strong with India against Terrorism. We pray for the souls of those lost, and for the recovery of the injured. Prime Minister Modi, and the incredible people of India, have our full support and deepest sympathies. Our hearts are with you all!” Trump posted.
