Srinagar: A shopkeeper was critically injured in an alleged knife attack by unknown persons in the Lal Nagar Chanapora area of Srinagar district on Tuesday evening.
A police officer said the injured man, a resident of Hyderpora, was brought to SMHS Hospital in Srinagar by some locals from the area, news agency JKNS reported without identifying the victim.
He said that he had sustained serious injuries to his throat and left wrist, reportedly inflicted with a sharp-edged weapon. “His condition is critical,” he added.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and registered a case.
