BJP pays tribute to Dr Ambedkar at 5,000+ booths across J&K

Srinagar: On the occasion of the 134th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) paid floral tributes and garlanded the statues and the portraits of Baba Saheb on about 4,200 Booths in the Jammu region and about 900 booths in the Kashmir region.

Sat Sharma, President, J&K BJP accompanied by Ashok Koul, General Secretary (organization), Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. D.K. Manyal, BJP General Secretary & MLA, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, MLA Bahu, accompanied Sat Sharma CA to garland the statue of Dr. Ambedkar at Ambedkar Chowk in Jammu.

The event was organized by Naresh Singh Jasrotia, Jammu South BJP district president.

While speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma, CA, described Dr. Ambedkar as one of the greatest minds of modern India, who not only framed the Constitution but also fought tirelessly for the rights of the downtrodden and underprivileged sections of society. His vision of social justice, equality, and empowerment continues to guide us, he said.

Sat Sharma CA also highlighted the Modi government’s initiatives to honour the legacy of Dr. Ambedkar through Panchteerth and declaring a holiday on his birthday.

Ashok Koul, General Secretary (organization), emphasized that Dr. Ambedkar’s life is a beacon for those who strive to create a society based on fairness and equal opportunity. “He broke the shackles of caste-based discrimination through his relentless efforts and showed the way for millions of Indians to live with dignity,” Koul added.

Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister, remarked that Ambedkar’s ideals are deeply embedded in the democratic fabric of the country. Dr. Ambedkar gave voice to the voiceless and championed the cause of human rights. On his Jayanti, we must reaffirm our pledge to build an India that reflects his ideals of equality and fraternity,” Gupta stated.

Dr. D.K. Manyal, BJP General Secretary & MLA, highlighted Dr. Ambedkar’s commitment to education and empowerment. He said that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar firmly believed that education is the key to uplifting the marginalized. His legacy continues to inspire generations to pursue knowledge and stand up for justice, he said.

Ch. Vikram Randhawa urged the youth to read and follow Dr. Ambedkar’s teachings to help build a just and inclusive society. He also reiterated the BJP’s commitment to upholding Ambedkar’s vision through various welfare schemes and initiatives aimed at uplifting marginalized communities.

BJP senior leaders Rajiv Charak, Parmod Kapahi, Ayodhya Gupta, Balbir Ram Rattan, Rekha Mahajan, Kulbir Charak, mandal presidents Rahul, Nitish Mahajan, Ritika Diman, Shoan Katal, Ajay Partap, Gulshan Bhagat, Hans Raj Loria were prominent among others who also garlanded the statue of Dr. Ambedkar.
