Srinagar: Police in Ganderbal arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesperson informed Saturday.
He said that Shareef-ud-Din Chechi, son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Chechi of Chattergul Bala, was arrested at Kachnambal Crossing after cannabis-like substance was recovered from his possession.
A case under relevant sections of the NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Kangan for further investigation.
