Srinagar: In response to growing concerns among legislators, Speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Advocate Abdul Rahim Rather, on Wednesday announced the constitution of a House Committee to investigate alleged irregularities in the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the Union Territory.

The Speaker’s decision came after several members raised the issue on the floor of the House, demanding a thorough inquiry into the functioning and execution of the mission aimed at providing safe drinking water to every rural household.
